Superannuation performance in Australia, year by year
One edition per financial year, generated from APRA's Comprehensive Product Performance Package as soon as it is published: MySuper options ranked by ten-year net return and by total fee at a $50,000 balance, the annual performance test with every failed option named, the largest funds, and what changed since the previous edition. APRA dates everything to 30 June, so a monthly report would print the same figures twelve times; this one is annual by design. Nothing is written by hand.
As at 30 June 2026, the highest ten-year net return among 355 MySuper options tracked by BankMate is 9.27% p.a. from CFS FirstChoice (FirstChoice Employer Super - MySuper · CFS Lifestage (2000-2004)). The median MySuper option costs $365 a year at a $50,000 balance. APRA tested 1271 options; 34 failed.
